Srinagar, Dec 4,One of the two children injured in a fire in the Mazhama area of Budgam district on Sunday has succumbed to their injuries at a Srinagar hospital this evening.

An official said that the deceased child was the daughter of Imtiyaz Ahmad Wani, an Inspector in the J&K Police, a resident of Mazhama Magam, who is currently posted as the SHO of Kralpora, Kupwara.

The tragic incident occurred on Sunday when a fire broke out in Waniโ€™s residence, causing burn injuries to his children. While quick action by the family and local residents prevented the fire from spreading, the severity of the injuries led to the hospitalization of both children.
