Srinagar : Prominent Social and RTI Activists Syed Adil from Ganderbal , Syed Farhat from Chadoora and Mushtaq Ahmad Wani from Beerwah have hailed the Jammu & Kashmir Government for rolling out Online Right to Information (RTI) Portal.
In a Joint statement they said roll out of the Online Right to Information (RTI) Portal is historic step towards fostering transparency, accountability and empowering citizens. It may be mentioned here that the Online Right to Information (RTI) Portal for Jammu and Kashmir is set to go fully operational from 10th December this year.The portal promises to simplify and streamline the RTI process, offering features such as online filing, which allows citizens to submit RTI applications directly through the platform, thereby eliminating the need for physical visits to offices. The portal will provide citizens real-time tracking of their application status ensures that users are kept informed, promoting transparency and accountability throughout the process. Additionally, the portal facilitates online payment of fees, expediting the processing of RTI applications. This achievement is the result of tireless advocacy by prominent Social and RTI Activists Syed Adil from Ganderbal supported by Syed Farhat from Chadoora and Mushtaq Ahmad Wani from Beerwah. Speaking on this milestone, Syed Adil expressed his gratitude and joy and said, “this portal will not only empower citizens to hold public officials accountable but also foster good governance and nurture a more transparent and responsive administration”. It is pertinent to mention that Syed Adil has been following it for the last two years and some days ago, the J&K Administration informed him about the availability of RTI portal very soon and finally the generaladministration department issued the order about rollout of RTI in J&K.
