DC Poonch calls for speedy execution of development projects in border areas

Poonch : District Development Commissioner (DDC) Poonch Vikas Kundal on Thursday chaired a meeting to review implementation of the Border Area Development Plan (BADP) and Samridh Seema Yojana (SSY) under CAPEX Budget 2024-25.
The DDC inquired about the physical status of the ongoing works, number of schemes completed and headways achieved in the current fiscal, which are essential for improving infrastructure and security in border areas.
After taking the work wise review, the DDC asked the executing agencies to take all possible measures to accelerate the pace of work to achieve time-bound completion of each work.
Reiterating the importance of transparency, efficiency, and coordination among departments, he instructed all officers to closely monitor progress, maintain proper documentation, and furnish timely updates. The Deputy Commissioner assured that the administration would offer full support to overcome any challenges and achieve the set goals.
The meeting was attended by Superintending Engineer PWD circle Poonch, ACD, XEN Jal Shakti/ PWD / JPDCL / REW / I&FC / Ground water and other concerned Officers/ Officials.
