KU holds free multi-specialty medical camp at Naseembag Campus Srinagar

Srinagar : To provide essential healthcare services and promote well-being among the campus community, the Health Centre, University of Kashmir (KU), in collaboration with Amandeep BR Medicity, organised on Wednesday a free multi-speciality medical camp at the varsity.
The camp also provided free medicines and healthcare services including X-Ray, ECG and vital monitoring, and routine health-check-ups to address common health concerns and offer preventive care to varsity fraternity including its students, scholars and employees. In her message Vice Chancellor University of Kashmir (KU) while expressing satisfaction with the camp’s execution emphasised the university administration’s commitment to the wellbeing of its students and staff. “Our university’s commitment to the holistic development and wellbeing of our students and staff remains unwavering and this camp exemplifies the dedication to create a supportive and nurturing environment for our community,” said Prof Nilofer Khan.
Registrar KU, Prof. Naseer Iqbal, while expressing appreciation over the initiative said “This medical camp reflects our commitment to ensure the well-being of our people. Providing accessible healthcare services on the campus develops a culture of wellness and proactive care within the campus community,” he said. Coordinator, Health Centre KU, Dr. Khalid Nazir highlighted the significance of such camps in ensuring easy access to healthcare. “This camp serves as vital resource for the University community and provides free medical services that are otherwise hard to access,” he said while underscoring the centre’s dedication in organising similar such events to support the community’s ongoing health needs.
The medical camp featured specialist consultants- Dr. Burhan, Dr. Rouf Hussain and Dr. Munaza Shora from orthopaedics, internal medicine & rheumatology, and obstetrics & gynaecology from Amandeep BR Medicity. The activities of the camp were coordinated by the medical officers of the centre- Dr. Azhar Ahad Wani and Dr. Iqra Mehraj. The camp was well-received by faculty, staff and students who expressed gratitude for convenient and free access to multi-speciality health services on the campus.
