Srinagar : Chairman J&K Peoples Democratic Front (J&K PDF)and former Minister Hakeem Muhammad Yaseenon Monday said that politicians and bureaucrats are running private schools and hatching a conspiracy to destroy Government schools for their own vested interests and in the end destroy the dreams of quality education of late Sheikh Muhammad Abdullah at Government schools.
In a statement issued here on Monday Yaseen said that political leaders and bureaucrats across Jammu and Kashmir have found a lucrative business in private schools for which they are hatching a conspiracy to destroy education in Government schools .The PDF Chairman further said that though only Government schools give people of economically weaker sections the right to free education but unfortunately Government under the influence of some political leaders and bureaucrats compromise the sacred job of developing high quality infrastructural facilities at Government schools.
Impressing upon Chief Minister Omar Abdullah and Education Minister Sakina Itoo to take a serious note of the underdeveloped Government schools and simultaneously enforce a a stringent accountability system for private schools with Special focus on recruitment rules for appointment of teachers on the pattern of Government Schools Hakeem demanded stringent action against private schools exploiting students by arbitrarily raising all kinds of fee and stressed for issuing a white paper on the mushroom growth of private schools across Jammu and Kashmir.
