Bandipora: In a significant step towards promoting holistic development of children, the batch first of training programme under ‘PoshanBhiPadhaiBhi’ commenced on Monday at five locations across District Baramulla.
As part of the first batch, 10 days long training programme is being held at Government Degree College (GDC), Boniyar; GDC, Baramulla; DakBunglow, Chijhama; DakBunglow, Sopore and Town Hall, Kunzer.
This initiative is part of the ‘PoshanBhiPadhaiBhi’ programme under ICDS, aimed at promoting education and nutrition among children in the district.
The training programme seeks to equip participants with the necessary skills and knowledge to support the holistic development of children in the district.
The multi-faceted initiative aims to educate the participants the importance of improved cognitive development among children, role of proper nutrition for enhanced cognitive function, enabling children to focus and learn more effectively.
During the training programme, the District Programme Officer PoshanBaramulla said that this initiative has health benefits and ensures reduction in malnutrition which can have long-term effects on a child’s physical and mental health.
