Srinagar : The District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) Srinagar while commemorating ‘Constitution Week’ in view of upcoming Constitution Day observed every year on November 26th, Monday organized a comprehensive awareness programme at Legal Aid Clinic in Kashmir Law College, Nowshera Srinagar.
The event focused on educating law students about their fundamental rights and responsibilities as enshrined in the Indian Constitution, which was held under the guidance of JafferHussain Beg, Chairman DLSA and Principal District & Sessions Judge Srinagar, and under the supervision of Nusrat Ali Hakak, Sub-Judge/Secretary DLSA Srinagar.
The programme commenced with a collective reading of the Preamble to the Constitution, underscoring its significance as the foundational document of India.
Sahil Sharma, Lecturer in Kashmir College, delivered a key address to the students. His insightful presentation highlighted the importance of understanding constitutional rights and their practical application in everyday life. He also emphasized the role of the judiciary in protecting citizen’s rights.
The aim of this event was to promote legal literacy and awareness among the youth of Kashmir. The Authority believes that a well-informed citizenry is crucial for a thriving democracy.
