Srinagar, Nov 23 : Director of School Education Kashmir (DSEK), Tassaduq Hussain Mir, announced on Saturday that winter vacations for schools in Kashmir will be decided only after the completion of the annual exams for classes 1st to 9th. The exams, which begin on Monday, will be conducted under a uniform date sheet for all students up to the 9th standard.
Speaking to reporters, Mir emphasized that the primary focus at the moment is ensuring the smooth conduct of the exams. He stated, “Winter vacations will not be declared before the exams are over.”
Regarding complaints from parents about admission charges and capitation fees in private schools, Mir reassured that the fee fixation committee is actively regulating the fees of private institutions. “No private school is allowed to charge admission or capitation fees,” he clarified. He further assured that the government will take action against any private school found violating these regulations.
