Poonch : A five-day training program on “Creation of E-Content for Foundational Stages” concluded on Friday at the District Institute of Education and Training (DIET), Poonch.
The program, organised under the guidance of Principal DIET Anjli Gupta, aimed at equipping teachers with digital skills, besides creating educational content in local languages such as Pahari, Gojri, Hindi, and Urdu, alongside English, to cater to the region’s diverse linguistic needs.
The teachers were trained to use various tools and websites for e-content creation, empowering them to contribute effectively to platforms like DIKSHA and other digital resources of the Education Department.
The training concluded with a zonal-level competition, where Balakote Zone secured the first prize, Nangali Zone bagged the second, and Poonch Zone achieved the third position for their innovative e-content presentations.
The training program featured sessions by resource persons Darshan Kumar, Tariq Chugtai, Harish Kumar, Balvinder Singh, Divjot Singh, and Mohd Iqram, who guided the participants in mastering e-content development tools and techniques.
Addressing the participants at the valedictory function, Principal DIET Poonch, Anjli Gupta, emphasized the significance of integrating local languages into digital education. “Creating content in local languages ensures inclusivity and enhances learning outcomes for students from diverse backgrounds. This training is a significant step towards bridging the digital divide in education,” she said.
Coordinator Naseer Sudan lauded the efforts of the teachers. “The multilingual e-content created during this program reflects the rich cultural and linguistic diversity of our region. These resources will make learning more accessible and engaging for students,” he remarked.
Vice Principal Manmohan Singh expressed satisfaction with the outcomes. “This initiative has provided teachers with the skills to create impactful digital materials. I encourage all of you to continue creating videos and resources in local languages to benefit students at the foundational stage,” he stated.
