VC BGSBU reviews the functioning of the University

Rajouri | Nov, 18: Prof. Jawaid Iqbal soon after joining as the new Vice Chancellor of Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University reviewed the functioning of academic and administrative departments of the University. In his first official meeting with senior functionaries of the University, Prof Jawaid outlined his vision for the institution’s future, emphasizing a holistic approach to the University’s development. He highlighted the importance of prioritizing students’ welfare and enhancing campus facilities to provide a more conducive environment for learning, research, and personal growth.
Addressing the meeting Prof. Jawaid said “I am deeply honored to take on the role of Vice Chancellor at this prestigious institution”. “My primary focus will be to ensure that Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University becomes a center of academic distinction while creating an environment where students feel supported, safe, and empowered to succeed. We will work tirelessly to enhance our campus facilities, improve student services, and foster a culture of inclusivity.” said Prof Jawaid
Prof Jawaid also underscored his commitment to promoting diversity and inclusivity across all aspects of university life, creating a campus that is welcoming and accessible to all students, faculty, and staff. “A university’s strength lies in its ability to bring people together from all backgrounds and perspectives, and I intend to work closely with all members of the University community to ensure that we are a place where everyone feels valued and respected,” he added.
Prof. Jawaid mentioned that he would continue to build upon the University’s existing strengths while exploring new opportunities for growth, particularly in research, international collaboration, and student development.He visited various departments and research centers across the campus to take stock of the ongoing academic and research activities, demonstrating his commitment to understanding the University’s current strengths and areas for growth. During his visits, Prof. Jawaid met with faculty, students, researcher scholars, and staff to discuss the progress of key academic initiatives. He emphasized the importance of fostering an environment that supports both academic excellence and groundbreaking research.
