From Compassion to Progress: MLA Gulmarg Farooq Shah’s vision in action

Srinagar: Member Legislative Assembly (MLA) Gulmarg, Farooq Ahmad Shah, has dedicated a series of initiatives that showcased his steadfast commitment to fostering progress, promoting welfare, and embodying compassion across Jammu and Kashmir. His engagements reflected a vision centered on unity, resilience, and community care, offering hope for a brighter future.
Empowering Athletes On The Global Stage: In a heart-warming event, Farooq Ahmad Shah, joined by Nasir Aslam Wani, Advisor to Chief Minister, flagged off Team India athletes hailing from Jammu and Kashmir. The team is set to compete in the Asia World Cup in Malaysia. Shah lauded their determination, calling them role models for the region’s youth. “Your dedication inspires us all,” he remarked, extending his best wishes for their journey ahead. The event symbolized the state’s commitment to nurturing talent and encouraging young individuals to chase their dreams.
Celebrating The Horticulture Sector;Kashmir’s Economic Backbone: At a seminar hosted by the Jammu and Kashmir Private Integrated Cold Chain Association (JKPICCA), Shah joined prominent figures including Javed Ahmad Dar, Minister for Agriculture Production, and Nasir Aslam Wani. MLA Riyaz Bedar (Pattan), G.M. Mir (Rajpora), and Showkat Hussain Ganai (Zainapora) was also present on the occasion. The discussions centered on the pivotal role of horticulture in shaping the economic landscape of Jammu and Kashmir. Shah emphasized innovation and collective efforts to revitalize this vital sector. “Horticulture is not just an industry; it is a legacy of resilience that defines our prosperity,” he stated. The seminar underscored the sector’s potential to drive sustainable economic growth while supporting the livelihoods of countless families.
Spreading Warmth, Compassion: At an event organized by the Kashmir Welfare Trust, Shah demonstrated his commitment to social welfare by distributing Winter Kits to underprivileged families. He commended Manzoor Wangnoo for leading this compassionate initiative, highlighting the importance of collective social responsibility. “This effort reflects the spirit of care and unity that defines our community,” Shah said, urging others to contribute to similar causes that uplift society’s vulnerable sections.
Offering Condolences,Support: In a display of empathy, Farooq Ahmad Shah visited the villages of Shrai, Vahipora, Kralweth, and Lalpora to console grieving families. Offering prayers for the departed and words of solace to the bereaved, he pledged his unwavering support during their challenging times. His visits reinforced the essence of leadership grounded in genuine care and connection with the people.
A Vision for Progress, Unity: Reflecting on the day’s activities, Shah said that true progress lies not only in achievements but in the kindness we extend and the bonds we strengthen. Together, let us build a Jammu and Kashmir that thrives on unity, compassion, and resilience.” Through his actions, Farooq Ahmad Shah exemplified a leadership style that balances ambition with humanity, inspiring hope and confidence among the people of Jammu and Kashmir.
