DDC Chairperson reviews progress of works under Distt Capex Budget, ADP, various grants across Udhampur Distt

Udhampur: A meeting of the District Development Council (DDC) Udhampur was convened on Saturday under the chairmanship of DDC Chairman, UdhampurLal Chand to review the status of ongoing works under the District Capex Budget 2024-25, Area Development Plan (ADP), PRI, BDC, DDC grants and other developmental initiatives.
The meeting witnessed the presence of Vice Chairperson DDC Udhampur, JuhiManhasPathania; Deputy Commissioner Udhampur, SaloniRai; Additional District Development Commissioner, Rajinder Singh, who is also the CEO DDC, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Prem Singh; DDC members, PO Poshan, SubashDogra, Chief Planning Officer, MohdIqbalZargar; Assistant Commissioner Development, DrRanjeet Singh Kotwal; Assistant Commissioner Revenue, DrUmesh Shan and other district officers.
During the meeting, threadbare discussions were held on various aspects, including physical and financial progress under ADP, District Capex Budget 2024-25, Capex, ABDP.
While reviewing the scheme- and sector-wise progress, the DDC Chairman emphasized on meeting targets and achieve 100% fund utilization. He called for transparency, accountability and adherence to timelines during execution of works.
He urged all officers to work with zeal and dedication to achieve the set targets for the current financial year. Necessary directions were issued to concerned departments to complete all ongoing projects within stipulated timeframe without compromising quality.
The DDC Chairman underscored the importance of close monitoring to avoid complaints and ensure quality standards.
DDC members, during the meeting, highlighted several issues and demands, including early completion of JalJeevan Mission works, installation of new electric transformers, shortage of electricity poles, status of tendering and allotment of works, repairing of hand pumps besides other developmental concerns.
The Council passed a resolution directing the Chief Executive Officer DDC Udhampur to coordinate with the District Administration to ensure that the inauguration and foundation stone laying of development works under ADP grants, District Capex Budget, DDC, BDC and PRI are initiated only after obtaining prior consent from the District Development Council.
It was also resolved in the meeting to expedite the tendering and allotment processes for all ongoing and upcoming projects to facilitate their timely commencement.
At the outset, ADDC delivered the welcome address while CPO presented a detailed PowerPoint presentation on the developmental works executed in different sectors during the year.
