Bandipora: As part of ongoing drive to combat child begging and address needs of children in street situations, Mission Vatsalya conducted intensive drive across all blocks of Bandipora District.
The initiative, now in its third consecutive day is led by District Child Protection Officer, SahirMajeed with the support of key agencies including Child Welfare Committee (CWC) Bandipora, District Child Protection Unit (DCPU), Special Juvenile Police Unit (SJPU), Labor Department, and the Child Helpline (1098) team.
This joint effort aims to protect vulnerable children, remove them from exploitative situations, and raise awareness about child protection in the community.
DSWO Bandipora reaffirmed the department’s commitment to safeguard children and expressed gratitude to all the participating officials and the public for their continued support.
He urged citizens to report cases of children in distress by contacting the Child Helpline at 1098.
