In First Post Election Reshuff J&K Govt Transfers 38 Top Police Officials Including 9 Distt SPs

Baramulla, G’bal, Handwara, Rajouri, Samba, Doda, Kishtwar, Poonch, Reasi, Awantipora Get New Distt Police Chiefs
Jammu: The Jammu and Kashmir Government on Thursday evening ordered transfer of 38 police officers including Senior Superintendents of Police (SSPs) of nine districts in the Union Territory (UT).
The transfer and postings of district police chiefs of Baramulla, Ganderbal, Handwara, Rajouri, Samba, Doda, Kishtwar, Poonch, Reasi and police district of Awantipora have taken place with six of 10 districts of Jammu division getting new police chiefs. According to an order issued by Principal Secretary (Home) Chandrakar Bharti, 38 SSPs and SPs have been transferred, including additional SPs, commandants of armed battalions, police headquarters, traffic, security and CID wings.
According to the order, Sandeep Wazir, SSP, ACB has been transferred and posted as AIG Personnel, PHQ; Gurinderpal Singh, Director Police Telecommunication has been transferred and posted as SSP Baramulla; Rajesh Kumar Sharma, who was awaiting posting has been posted as SSP Security Jammu; Mumtaz Ahmad SSP Poonch has been transferred and posted as Commandant, IRP 12; Mohd Aslam SSP Doda has been transferred and posted as Commandant, IRP 24; Bisma Qazi, who was awaiting posting, has been posted as SP City East Srinagar; Raghav S Additional SP Budgam, has been posted as SSP Ganderbal; Gaurav Sikarwar SSP Reasi has been posted as SSP Rajouri; Mohd. Arshad, Commandant, IRP 13 has been posted as SSP CI CID Jammu; Randeep Kumar, SSP Rajouri has been posted as SSP Security HQ, J&K; Wasim Qadri, SSP Ganderbal, has been posted as SSP Railways Kashmir; Virender Singh Manhas, AIG Personnel PHQ, has been posted as SSP Samba; Sandeep Kumar Mehta, SSP SCW Jammu, has been posted as SSP Doda; Amit Gupta, SO to DGP J&K, has been posted as SO to ADGP CID, J&K; Javid Iqbal who was awaiting posting has been posted as SSP Kishtwar.
