Hakeem hails Central Govt notification on connecting Gulmarg, Doodgpathri with Bafliaz Poonch

Srinagar : Chairman Jammu & Kashmir Peoples Democratic Front (J&K PDF) Hakeem Muhammad Yaseen has welcomed notification of the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways to construct a highway circuit from Narbal in Kashmir upto Bafliaz in Poonch Jammu.
In a statement issued here on Wednesday Hakeem said that proposed highway will be a new sun rise on the socio- economic landscape of Jammu and Kashmir as it would integrate social , cultural and tourism potential by connecting Magam, Babarishi , Tangmarg , Gulmarg , Doodhpathri , Yusmarg , Pakherpra , kellar , shopian and Baluaz Poonch areas into a comprehensive tourism circuit. Hailing Ministry of Road Transport and Highways decision to construct a highway circuit from Magam Baramulla in kashmir to Bafliaz Poonch , Hakeem demanded inclusion of tourist destination Tossamaidan also into the proposed highway so that vast tourism potential of the area could be exploited optimally for the good of local populace. He said time has come to think beyond Gulmarg , Pahalgam and Sonamarg as Jammu and Kashmir is bestowed with abundant tourist destinations which remain unexplored as yet . Maintaining that surface connectivity plays a pivotal role in bringing socio – economic prosperity , PDF chairman said that tourism sector was vital source of livelihood in kashmir. He has called for focussed attention towards promotion of tourism sector.
