“Focusing on 5 trillion economy is good for the economic well being of the country but without raising the economic levels of the people the greater economic strength of the Government won’t bring about a change in the living standards or say life style of the people anywhere in the country.”
Government taking pride in providing free rations to 80% population surely shows its concern for the accessibility of people to two time meals a day but this under all circumstances also gives an indication that 80% population of the country does not still afford to buy ration from the open market and subsequently sends out a message that 80% population is still suffering from the crisis of economic backwardness. Raising 80% population above the poverty line as such remains as big a huge challenge as it was decades ago and situation itself necessitates a greater focus of both the Central and State/UT Governments on the implementation of poverty alleviation programs. Focusing on 5 trillion economy is good for the economic well being of the country but without raising the economic levels of the people the greater economic strength of the Government won’t bring about a change in the living standards or say life style of the people anywhere in the country. Looking at this increasing free ration stress on the both the Central and State/ UT Governments across the country the unending huge surge in unemployment seems to be yet another biggest cause of reducing purchasing capacity of the people in the open markets. So by all standards of understandabilities the fault obviously lies with the implementation of both the poverty alleviation programs and as well as unemployment. Prolonging the life of the poverty alleviation programs and the free ration policy consequently prolongs the march of the people towards self reliance. Unfortunately the political parties in almost all the states and union territories of the country fight elections on freebies and the trend if allowed to continue for some more years won’t end the economic bankruptcy of the people in any State or Union Territory of the country.
“Government thinking about achieving the milestone of self reliance to become one of the top economies of the world but people continuing to beg for free ration and freebies on services like power supply and drinking water facility won’t bring the country in the list of top five economies of the world. This is not mere hypothesis but an evaluation of the facts on the basis of merit and practicality. So to bring the country in the list of top economies of the world the implementation of poverty alleviation programs and job policies for youth demand and deserve greater attention of both the Central and as well as State/UT Governments.”
The county will surely establish a higher position in the top economies of the world the day its people stop demanding free ration and free power both in the states and the union territories.
