Ganderbal : Deputy Commissioner Ganderbal, Shyambir chaired a meeting on Tuesday in the Conference Hall, Mini Secretariat Ganderbal, to review the preparations for the upcoming Janjatiya Gaurav Divas, scheduled for November 15, 2024, and the awareness campaign for the Dharti Aaba Janjatiya Gram Utkarsh Abhiyan (DAJGUA), which will be conducted from November 15 to November 26, 2024.
The event saw the participation of key officers from various departments, who gathered to strategize for the successful implementation of these initiatives at both the block and district levels.
During the meeting, the Deputy Commissioner emphasized the importance of commemorating Janjatiya Gaurav Divas to honor the cultural heritage and achievements of the tribal communities.
To ensure a comprehensive celebration, a roadmap for conducting Block and District Level events was discussed in detail, with a focus on community engagement, tribal welfare, and cultural showcases.
In addition to the Janjatiya Gaurav Divas celebrations, the meeting outlined the extensive awareness campaign for DAJGUA, aimed at reaching every tribal village in the district.
This campaign will educate communities about government schemes and initiatives dedicated to uplifting tribal villages, thereby promoting sustainable development and prosperity within these areas.
Pre-event activities, outreach plans, and a detailed strategy to connect with each tribal village were also deliberated, ensuring that no area is left out of the celebrations and awareness efforts.
The Deputy Commissioner highlighted the need for coordinated efforts among departments and encouraged all officials to actively participate and mobilize local resources for the effective dissemination of information.
The Janjatiya Gaurav Divas and DAJGUA awareness campaign reflect Ganderbal’s commitment to fostering inclusivity, celebrating tribal pride, and empowering communities through informed participation in government initiatives.
During the meeting, the Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC) Ganderbal, Mushtaq Ahmad Simnani who serves as the Nodal Officer for the Dharti Aaba Janjatiya Gram Utkarsh Abhiyan (DAJGUA), briefed the Deputy Commissioner on the planned activities for Janjatiya Gaurav Divas.
The ADDC outlined a series of events and initiatives designed to celebrate tribal heritage and recognize the contributions of tribal communities.
These activities will include cultural programs, awareness drives, and community engagement sessions aimed at promoting tribal welfare and highlighting the significance of tribal traditions and history.
The ADDC assured that every effort will be made to ensure these celebrations reach and engage every tribal village across the district.
