Srinagar: Police on Saturday said that it has attached a one-storey residential house and a shop valued at ₹50 lakhs, belonging to a notorious drug peddler Shabroz Ahmad Wani S/o Abdul Rehman Wani R/o Nowgam Poshkeeri, Srigufwara Anantnag. The action was taken under Section 68-F of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act.
In a statement issued from Zonal Police Headquarters Srinagar police said the attached properties are believed to be proceeds of crime, earned through Wani’s illicit drug trafficking activities. He has been a prominent figure in the local narcotics trade, linked to substantial seizures of contraband substances, including SpasmoProxyvon and Codeine Phosphate.
Besides, this action underscores J&K Police’s commitment to dismantling drug networks and ensuring that those involved in such crimes face the full force of the law.
