Farooq Abdullah appears in Assembly, says dignity of J&K people will be back

Srinagar : National Conference (NC) President Dr. Farooq Abdullah on Friday made an appearance in the Legislative Assembly of Jammu & Kashmir Union Territory.
Reports said Dr. Farooq Abdullah arrived in the Speaker’s gallery at around 2:45 PM when legislators were speaking on the Motion of Thanks on the Lieutenant Governor’s address.
Speaker Abdul Rahim Rather welcomed Farooq Abdullah in the House.
Abdullah was seated in the front row of the Speaker’s gallery.
After leaving the assembly, Farooq spoke with the media persons and said that today it was proven that the people of J&K never accepted the decision taken on August 05, 2019, saying that the world has come to know that the decision as unacceptable to them.
“Why can’t it be restored,” Abdullah said when asked about the claims that Article 370 won’t be back. He added that the day will come when the dignity of the people will be returned. “Maybe, we will not be at that time, but it will be returned,” he said.
