Ganderbal : Department of Tourism Studies (DTS), School of Business Studies, Central University of Kashmir (CUK), organized an orientation and alumni interaction for the MBA-TTM (Master of Business Administration in Travel and Tourism Management) 2024 batch.
In his address, Prof. (Dr.) Fayaz Ahmed Nika, Dean, School of Business Studies, encouraged the students to make the most of their educational journey and be courageous in exploring the opportunities in the tourism sector. He urged the alumni to contribute in the well being of students and foster departments’ growth. Prof. Nika emphasised the need of preparing students for leadership roles in the tourism industry by equipping them with the necessary skills and knowledge.
Dr. Ashaq Hussain Najar, Coordinator and Sr Assistant Prof. delivered the welcome address, and Dr. Ramjit, Sr Assistant Prof. presented an overview of the DTS. An informative session on anti-ragging by Dr. Faizan Ashraf Mir, Sr Assistant Prof. emphasized the university’s commitment to creating a safe and inclusive environment. Dr. Tariq Ahmed Shah, Sr Assistant Librarian, provided an introduction to the library resources available to students, underscoring the university’s dedication to supporting academic excellence.
