Jammu : Stating that the Bharatiya Janata Party exemplifies the true democracy in the political sphere of the nation, Sat Sharma, President, of J&K BJP said that BJP believes and practices the true spirit of the temple of democracy both internally and in the nation as a whole.
Speaking on the sidelines of a program organised to launch the “Sadasyata Abhiyan” primary membership drive of BJP in Jammu & Kashmir at party headquarters, Trikuta Nagar, Jammu the J&K BJP President also made a veiled attack on the other political parties, wherein he stressed that other political parties are run by the spirit of nepotism where the whole organization is run by a single family.
Addressing the party leaders during the launch of the Sadasyata Abhiyan, Sat Shatma said that the nationwide primary membership drive of BJP was delayed in Jammu & Kashmir due to the recently concluded Assembly Elections. The membership drive at the national level was launched when Prime Minister Narendra Modi took the primary membership of the party.
He said that, now the BJP has become the largest political party in the world surpassing China’s party which had 10 crore members.
“Now the target of this membership is to reach to the common masses besides political workers, supporters, and sympathizers, which enables us to connect with the issues of people more effectively”, said Sat Sharma.
We achieved more than 6 lakhs target in 2014 and 16 lakh 67 thousand members in 2019. This helped us to create history in J&K by securing maximum votes in assembly elections.
Now we have made a target that we will ensure the primary membership to the tune of votes we secured. We will reach every eligible voter and will ensure a minimum of 200 primary members in every booth.
Sat Sharma, further said that some political parties are hell-bent to destroy peace & prosperity. These political parties’ leaders only care for themselves and the BJP has to strike as a major force to defy their nefarious designs.
Speaking on the launching of the membership drive, Sat Sharma said that in this program nearly 200 BJP leaders from every district have joined through the virtual mode. He gave every leader of the party to give their maximum in this membership drive as to celebrate this as “Sangathan Parv”.
Ashok Koul, while addressing the programme thoroughly deliberated on the membership drive process which is better known as ‘Sangathan Parv’. He prompted all to give a missed call on 8800002024 and then to fill out the form provided in the link in the received SMS to become a primary member. He said that in rural areas, where the connectivity is low, first the forms will be filled up and then those forms will be registered online. He asked the party leaders and activists to work in the form of Vistarak (whole timers) to devote more time to achieve the target in the stipulated time of one month. He allotted different areas to senior leaders of party to supervise the success of the membership drive.
Ravinder Raina said that the membership drive is the backbone of an organization. He said that the onus of responsibility lies on the shoulders of every single activist of the party to achieve the target set by the party successfully. He asked all the party leaders to approach every prominent person in the society. He asked all the party leaders to ensure the 20 lakh primary members in Jammu and Kashmir.
Shamsher Singh Manhas prompted all the party leaders to work devotedly to achieve the target set by the party. He said that today, the party has organized a set-up in every remote area of the region and asked the party leaders to focus their energy in the ongoing drive to achieve the target.
Munish Khajuria said that 27 organizational districts of the BJP were connected in this meeting through virtual mode and asked all the party leaders to complete the stipulated task in one month’s time.
