Books In Library Signifies Richness Of Culture, Steers Direction Of Society, Nation: Sat Sharma

Jammu : Sat Sharma, Jammu and Kashmir BJP President accompanied by Kavinder Gupta, former Deputy Chief Minister, visited Nanaji Deshmukh library, BJP headquarters, Trikuta Nagar, Jammu. Rajiv Sharma, former MLA, Dr. Shehnaz Ganai, former MLC, Dr. Pardeep Mahotra, Dr Tahir Choudhary, Sanjay Baru, Th Narain Singh, Jaideep Sambyal, and other senior leaders of the party also accompanied Sat Sharma during his visit to the library.
Prof (Dr) Kulbhushan Mohtra, Incharge Library, accompanied by Pallavi Gupta, Ramesh Katoch, and Pooja Grover welcomed Sat Sharma and other leaders. He also presented books titled “Terrorism & Proxy War in Jammu region” and “Vish-Dhara 370”, to the party’s President. Sat Sharma lauded the efforts of Prof Kulbhushan Mohtra in establishing the state-of-the-art Library and attributed this to his dedication. He said that Kulbhushan was accorded the responsibility to establish this Library from ‘level one’ during his (Sat Sharma’s) earlier tenure as the President of the J&K BJP and he (Kulbhushan) served his duty with excellence. “Library acts as a means to develop one’s personality by increasing knowledge and promoting introspection. The quantity and the quality of books in the library also signify the Richness of culture and steer the direction of the society and nation. Everyone should inculcate the habit of visiting and studying in the library”, said Sat Sharma. Sat Sharma also asked to take further steps to equip the library with more facilities especially to procure the rare documents and the books. He also asked the party leaders to inculcate the habit of studying books regularly.
Kavinder Gupta said that Libraries are the repository of knowledge. The library is developed with a special motto to provide study resources to acquire deep knowledge. Those, who want to learn aren’t satisfied until they achieve knowledge on a particular topic. Nana ji Deshmukh library consists of thousands of books and rare documents which are essential for anybody who seeks knowledge about Jammu-Kashmir, Praja Parishad, and other topics, said Kavinder while appreciating Prof Kulbhushan for the effort. Prof (Dr) Mohtra, while briefing Sat Sharma about the library said that Nanaji Deshmukh Library has a large collection of books on different subjects. He said that the library has a number of books on Praja Parishad Agitation and many other historic events/moments in Jammu and Kashmir. He also shared that the library has a documentation department, which has preserved many old documents digitally. Kulbhushan Mohtra further apprised that this is one of the best among BJP’s libraries in the country and besides the party leaders and workers, the scholars, students, and educationalists, do come to the library for study material of their choice and requirement,” he said and added that many have completed their Doctorate Thesis while studying in this Library.
