Srinagar, Nov 6: The J-K Assembly was adjourned Wednesday amid the ruckus in the house that followed the passing of resolution by JKNC demanding the rollback of the erstwhile state’s special status.

The opposition leaders jumped in the well of the house and staged a protest there, following which the house was adjourned for one hour. However, as the session resumed, the BJP leaders continued their protests, resulting in the adjournment of house till tomorrow.

They raised slogans of “go back go back Speaker go back. Trash the unconstitutional resolution.”

To this, the Speaker replied, “get a vote of no confidence against me if you don’t want me to see you as speaker of the House.”

Earlier, amid uproar by the BJP, the Jammu and Kashmir legislative assembly on Wednesday passed a resolution demanding the restoration of the special status.

The assembly passed by voice vote resolution asking Centre to hold dialogue with elected representatives for restoration of special status.
