ACB organises in Jammu Vigilance awareness event for Health & Medical Education Dept functionaries, NGOs

Jammu : Jammu & Kashmir Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB), in collaboration with Department of Health and Medical Education and registered NGOs/Societies, organized two programs as part of the Vigilance Awareness Week, 2024.
The programme for the Department of Health and Medical Education was organized at Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University, Rajouri which was attended by participants virtually from Jammu, Poonch, Ramban, Udhampur and Budgam. Another awareness programme was organized at Maulana Azad Memorial College, Jammu which was attended by participants from Rajouri and Udhampur.
Deputy Commissioner Rajouri Abhishek Sharma was chief Guest at the event held at BGSBU, while Randeep Kumar, SSP Rajouri, A.S. Bhatia, Principal GMC Rajouri, Anjum Sahab, Dean BGSBU were the special guests.
Sanjay Sharma, DVO Health was the Speaker and Dr.ADS Manhas was the Guest Speaker. CMO, BMOs and the Para medical staff of the medical department were present on the occasion.
About 500 participants were present at all the locations. DIG ACB J&K Vikas Gupta and Rakesh Mangotra Director Health joined the programme online. Moreover, Sandeep Wazir, SSP ACB Hqrs was also present in the said programme at Rajouri.
Amit Verma, SSP ACB administered the integrity pledge to the participants, including the dignitaries and volunteers.
A PowerPoint Presentation (PPT) explaining different causes of corruption in the Medical Department and the consequences for public servants for indulging in corruption and ways to prevent it were delivered by the ACB officers.
During the programmes, questionnaires were also served to the participants through mobile app and feedback was taken. Besides, the Chief Guest and Guest Speakers in their lecture deliberated upon the need to create a culture of transparency, accountability and integrity to make our country a corruption free society. They also encouraged the audience to stand the corruption with a bold voice.
Similarly, another programme hosted for NGOs was organized at main Venue at MAM College Jammu. Arun Manhas, Director Industries & Commerce Jammu was the Chief Guest, while Pawan Gupta Retd. SP, Mohammad Arshad (JKAS) and Pankaj Sasan, (JKAS) Zorawar Singh Jamwal, Chairman of Team Jammu were the Guest Speakers. The event marked the presence of around 210 participants at all the locations.
Sunny Gupta, Dy. SP ACB administered the integrity pledge. All the dignitary and volunteers present in the programme took the pledge against Corruption.
