Jammu: PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry President Hemat Jain on Sunday appointed Rakesh Wazir as Chairman of Jammu Region Chapter.
As per handout issued here, Jain while speaking on the occasion said that Rakesh Wazir is no stranger to leadership within PHDCCI and has previously served as Chairman and Mentor for Jammu Chapter.
His commitment to fostering economic growth in the region is further demonstrated by his role as President Hotel and Restaurant Association, Katra and is a respected member of the Tourism Advisory Board for J&K government.
Jain said, “We look forward to strengthening the business community in the Jammu Region and creating new opportunities for collaboration and innovation under his leadership.”
He further said that PHDCCI has been working as catalyst for the promotion of industry trade and entrepreneurship for past 119 years and is acting as the voice of Industry and trade reaching out to more than 1,50,000 large, medium, and small industries.
Wazir while speaking on the occasion thanked Jain for giving this responsibility to him and said that he along with the whole team of Chapter will leave no stone unturned to mitigate the problems of the industry and bring them to the knowledge of the Authorities and will act as a bridge between business fraternity and government.
He said that his prime focus would be to broaden the base of PHDCCI in every nook and corner of Jammu Region and have its members everywhere, with proper units over there so that they may not have to come to Jammu for every small matter.
