Srinagar: Chairman Jammu and Kashmir Peoples Democratic Front (JK PDF )and former Minister Hakeem Muhammad Yaseen On Thursday said that UT Foundation Day Celebration by J&K Government contradicts the commitment of the Prime Minister and the Home Minister on restoration of statehood to Jammu and Kashmir.
According to a statement issued here on Thursday, Hakeem said that given the commitments of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah over statehood restoration after delimitation and the assembly election the UT Foundation Day Celebration by J&K Government has created doubts in the hearts and minds of the people over the fulfillment of the commitment of statehood restoration by the Prime Minister and the Home Minister.
Stating that entire Jammu and Kashmir is united over demand of statehood restoration irrespective of political affiliations and ideologies Hakeem appealed Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah to restore the statehood to Jammu and Kashmir in the forthcoming winter session of Parliament.
