Police Flag Day: Police organises Cultural Progs in Kupwara, Ang

Srinagar : Police on Monday organised cultural programmes in Kupwara and Anantnag. Besides, police organised a Band Show at Main Market Sogam in district Kupwara.
In Kupwara, police conducted a Cultural Program at the District Police Lines (DPL) Kupwara. The Cultural Programme featured powerful skits, which paid homage to the bravery and dedication of the police personnel who laid down their lives for the security of the nation. These emotional performances evoked a deep sense of respect for the fallen heroes. The event also included stirring patriotic songs and vibrant local folk songs, highlighting the rich cultural heritage of and promoting a strong sense of community.
Speaking on the occasion Addl SP Kupwara Gh Mohd Bhat emphasized the importance of remembering the sacrifices made by police personnel and reiterated the district police’s commitment to maintaining peace and security. DySP PC Lolab Raies Ahmad, DySP DAR Kupwara Syed Mujahid-ul-Haq, and other officers and officials of District Police Kupwara were also present at the event. Moreover, Police organized a Band Show at Main Market Sogam area of District Kupwara. The event was a tribute to the martyrs who sacrificed their lives in the line of duty, reflecting the police’s enduring commitment to honour their memory and service. The District Police Band performed a variety of tunes, including patriotic songs and vibrant local folk songs, which resonated with the large crowd of locals who gathered to witness the event.
In Anantnag, Police organised a cultural program at Government Degree College for Women Anantnag. The event showcased the talents of various college students, who performed with enthusiasm and creativity and made the event vibrant. The program featured a range of performances, including dance, and music, all dedicated to honouring the contributions of Police personnel who have made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty.
While speaking on the occasion, Principal Govt Degree College for Women Anantnag Prof Masood highlighted the role and importance of police in the society and appreciated the efforts of police in maintaining law and order and upholding law of the land. Moreover, while presenting vote of thanks SP HQRS Anantnag Sajad Ahmad expressed gratitude on behalf of Dist Police Anantnag to the Principal Shaheed Himayun Muzammil Memorial Govt Degree College Boys Anantnag Prof Muzaffar, Principal Govt Degree College for Women Anantnag Prof Masood, their college staff and participating students for contributing in making this event a success.
At the conclusion of the Cultural Programmes, mementos, cash prizes, and certificates were distributed among the participating cultural troupes from various schools, in recognition of their contribution to the event.
