MLA Thanamandi reviews status of health infra, road connectivity in home constituency

Rajouri: To discuss and identify infrastructure gaps in key public services, Member Legislative Assembly ThanamandiMuzaffar Khan, in presence of Deputy Commissioner Abhishek Sharma, chaired a meeting here on Monday to review the status of road projects and healthcare facilities in his home constituency.
The meeting focused on improving the condition of PWD and BRO roads and the critical health needs of the local population.
MLA Muzaffar Khan and DC Abhishek Sharma thoroughly reviewed the progress of the road projects, including the vital Rajouri-Thanamandi-Surankote road. Officials from the Public Works Department (PWD) and the Border Roads Organisation (BRO) presented updates on ongoing works, citing recent advancements and challenges in road connectivity, particularly in areas affected by monsoon damage. The MLA underscored the importance of timely project completion to ensure accessible routes for commuters and local residents alike.
Health officials briefed the meeting on the current healthcare infrastructure and steps being taken to enhance medical services. The MLA and DC directed health authorities to focus on increasing access to essential health services, with specific attention to rural and remote areas.
MLA ThanamandiMuzaffar Khan expressed his commitment to ensuring that all residents of Thanamandi and surrounding areas benefit from improved connectivity and healthcare facilities. DC Abhishek Sharma assured that the administration is working in close coordination with all stakeholders to resolve bottlenecks and accelerate project timelines.
