Srinagar : Police on Saturday said that it has attached property (Double storied residential house) measuring 1465 Sq. Ft and 13 marlas of Land underneath the residential house (Value of more than one crore) of a drug peddler namely Imran Ahmad Ganie S/o Late Mohd Ramzan Ganie R/o Nassu Badragund Qazigund, Kulgam under section 68-F(2) of NDPS Act 1985.
In a statement issued from Zonal Police Headquarters Srinagar Police said that the property was prima facie acquired from illicit trafficking in narcotic drug and psychotropic substances by the owner during the course of investigation/enquiry conducted by Kulgam Police, adding therein that the said drug peddler is presently detained under PIT NDPS act and is lodged at Central Jail Kot Balwal Jammu. Stating that the said drug peddler is involved in Case FIR number 34/2024 of Police Station Qazigund, Police in the concluding para of its above quoted statement reiterated its commitment to combat the drug menace.
