Anantnag: The National Service Scheme (NSS) unit of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University (SMVDU) on Thursday organized an expert talk on the “Role and Importance of Music in Society” today. The event featured Dr. Bharat Bhushan, Head of the Department of Music at Government Degree College, Hiranagar, as the resource person. His insightful presentation captivated the audience, comprising NSS volunteers and faculty members, by exploring the multifaceted impact of music on individuals and society as a whole.
The event commenced with an introduction to the profound effects of sound on human behavior and emotions. Dr. Bhushan explained that music transcends mere entertainment, influencing mental states, emotional well-being, and social harmony.
