MLA Inderwal seeks timely execution, completion of development projects

Kishtwar : Member Legislature Assembly (MLA) Inderwal, Pyare Lal Sharma held a meeting with district and Sectoral Officers in Kishtwar on Wednesday to discuss pressing public issues with the district administration. Seeking coordinated governance and timely execution of development projects, the MLA covered a wide range of pressing issues of his home constituency.
P L Sharma emphasized that all Legislative representatives of the three Assembly Constituencies of district Kishtwar will work closely to ensure smooth governance and effective control over ongoing projects. He assured that there will be no shortage of funds for government offices, stating, “We believe in delivering results, and our focus is on ensuring that all projects are completed in stipulated time.”
One of the primary issues discussed was the Gram Sabha meetings and the MLA asked the Rural Development Department (RDD) to convene the same at the earliest, availing the favorable weather condition. He called for immediate action to ensure proper implementation of the MGNREGA scheme, focusing on providing 90 days of labor to workers and maintaining high standards for the projects.
P L Sharma also emphasized the need for timely approval of project plans to avoid unnecessary delays. He directed the officers to expedite the disbursement of pending PMAY (Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana) installments and the necessary Geo-Tagging to ensure benefits reach eligible beneficiaries.
The MLA further asked to augment water supply in the Inderwal constituency. He instructed the Jal Shakti Department to form a special team to inspect the status of water reservoirs and resolve issues, if any. Sharma urged the department to ensure that every household receives adequate water supply before the onset of winter.
Besides, he sought augmentation of health and education Infrastructure. He also enquired about the ongoing Schemes of the Government departments viz Horticulture, Agriculture, Forest,Health ,Labour and various other departments. The functionaries of the fisheries department informed about the new fisheries farm being established in Inderwal Constituency.
On the infrastructure front, P L Sharma highlighted the need for Forest Clearance, NOCs for road projects under the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY). He requested the Forest Department to expedite the survey and approval process to facilitate timely road construction.
The meeting was attended by ADC Kishtwar Awan Kotwal, CPO Kishtwar Shahnawaz Bali, PO ICDS Dr Rishi Kumar Sharma, ACD Kishtwar Phulail Singh, SDM Chatroo, DIO Kishtwar Dr Kuldeep Kumar, ALC Kishtwar Mamta Sudershan, AD Handicrafts Pardeep Shan, DFO Marwah, DFO Kishtwar, CEO Kishtwar, CAO Kishtwar, CHO Kishtwar, DYSSO Kishtwar, LDM Kishtwar besides other officers and officials of line departments.
