DC B’pora chairs District Level NCORD meeting

Bandipora : The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Bandipora, Manzoor Ahmad Qadri on Wednesday convened a District Level Committee meeting under the Narco-Coordination (NCORD) mechanism to evaluate ongoing efforts to combat drug abuse in the district.
During the meeting, the concerned stakeholders presented updates on the Action Taken Report and discussed current initiatives aimed at addressing the issue of substance abuse.
On the occasion, stakeholders highlighted their respective contributions and the effectiveness of existing measures.
The DC emphasized the critical role of coordinated action among various agencies in tackling this pressing concern.
He stressed on implementing robust strategies to curb drug-related issues and ensure a healthier future for the youth.
The DC emphasised the importance of interdepartmental coordination, heightened vigilance, public outreach, and strong legal measures to fight against drug abuse.
The meeting was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Zaffar Husson Shawal, CEO Kishor Kumar, DySP DAR Ahmad Shafee, CMO Rafee Ahmad Salathi, DSWO Sahir Majeed, DIO Aadil Manzoor, and other concerned.
