DC B’pora reviews functioning of Revenue Deptt

Bandipora : The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Bandipora, Manzoor Ahmad Qadri on Tuesday chaired a meeting at the Mini Secretariat to review the functioning of the Revenue Department.
The meeting discussed various key indicators of the Revenue Department in detail, including the digitization of jamabandis, the eviction status of state land, the status of Kahcharai land, online services under the Public Service Guarantee Act (PSGA), and other important revenue matters.
It was informed that 57 jamabandis have been frozen out of 124 digitized jamabandis.
It was also reported that, out of 20,925 kanals of encroached land, 13,994 kanals have been evicted so far.
With regard to Kahcharai land, the chair was apprised that 18,383 kanals of Kahcharai land have been evicted out of 20,887 kanals of encroached land.
The DC directed the concerned officials to complete the quality check of digitized jamabandis and to finalize the freezing process within three weeks.
Reviewing the status of online services under the PSGA, the DC stressed the importance of properly disposing-off files on online portals as per the guidelines of the Act. He warned of strict action and penalties for officers and officials who fail to adhere to the timeline prescribed under the PSGA.
He also instructed the revenue officers to regularly monitor the status of cases on online portals to prioritize public service delivery.
The DC emphasized the quick response of officers in relief cases and directed the concerned to prioritize genuine relief cases.
He also reviewed the status of RTI applications, LG grievances, pending cases under SRO 43, and CLU cases.
Among others, the meeting was attended by ADC Zaffar Husson Shawl, ACR, SDM Sumbal, Tehsildars, Naib Tehsildars, and other concerned officials. Additionally, SDM Gurez and Tehsildars from the Gurez Subdivision attended virtually.
