In Crackdown on rash driving, 35 vehicles seized in B’la: Police

Srinagar : Police on Saturday seized 35 vehicles besides, booked 58 violators for rash and negligent driving in Baramulla. The comprehensive drive was launched on the direction of SSP Baramulla Mohammad Zaid Malik.
In a statement issued from Zonal Police Headquarters Srinagar Police said that during the drive, 35 vehicles (Tippers and Dumpers) involved in rash driving and driving without documents were confiscated. Besides 58 violators were booked for rash and negligent driving as well as driving without documents.
Stating that the police later subsequently registered the cases under relevant sections of law against the accused at concerned police stations.
In the concluding para of the above quoted statement police said that this action was a part of a broader effort to tackle persistent traffic violations.
