Exploitation Of Ballot For Bail

“While there is no disagreement over the statehood restoration amongst political parties in Jammu & Kashmir, the restoration of statehood to Jammu & Kashmir a pre-poll promise of National Conference is high on the agenda of Omar Abdullah Government.”

National Conference voted to power in Jammu & Kashmir in the recently held assembly elections is committed to fight for restoration of statehood and Chief Minister Omar Abdullah has in his very first cabinet meeting set the ball rolling into motion. Obviously Omar Abdullah draws strength to fight for statehood restoration from the absolute majority he got in the recently held assembly elections. True it is that Congress is pre-poll ally of National Conference but with Congress making a choice to stay out of power in the post election scenario Chief Minister Omar Abdullah has roped in some independents from Jammu division obviously for maintaining regional balance in his cabinet that is still reduced to five ministers. With Congress party already on his side the inclusion of independents in the cabinet would give Omar Abdullah the strength he needs to fight for statehood restoration. Since coalition is not only just about numbers in the assembly but it is also about the commitments and political stability. Nothing is permanent in politics but situation also changes the priorities and preferences of political parties in power and the opposition and same holds good for political parties in Jammu & Kashmir also. While there is no disagreement over the statehood restoration amongst political parties in Jammu & Kashmir, the restoration of statehood to Jammu & Kashmir a pre-poll promise of National Conference is high on the agenda of Omar Abdullah Government.

“Sensing that obviously there are no roadblocks on statehood restoration Omar Abdullah has for all right reasons pushed through a resolution in the cabinet and is going to meet Prime Minister, Home Minister and other Union Ministers for handing over the resolution to them. This is the legal and constitutional procedure which Omar Abdullah is pursuing to fulfill the commitment of statehood restoration. Politics is the art of possibilities and by dint of his actions Omar Abdullah has shown that he knows well the art of possibilities in politics. After voting for change after five long years the people of Jammu & Kashmir look  for a change under the leadership of Omar Abdullah.”

Even the Prime Minister and Home Minister of the country have promised restoration of statehood within and outside the parliament. In view of the commitments of the Prime Minister and the Home Minister on restoration of statehood the people of Jammu & Kashmir look at restoration of statehood as beginning of their new journey. Sensing that obviously there are no roadblocks on statehood restoration Omar Abdullah has for all right reasons pushed through a resolution in the cabinet and is going to meet Prime Minister, Home Minister and other Union Ministers for handing over the resolution to them. This is the legal and constitutional procedure which Omar Abdullah is pursuing to fulfill the commitment of statehood restoration. Politics is the art of possibilities and by dint of his actions Omar Abdullah has shown that he knows well the art of possibilities in politics. After voting for change after five long years the people of Jammu & Kashmir look for a change under the leadership of Omar Abdullah.
