Srinagar: Police on Thursday said that it has recovered 17 mobile phones worth Rs 2.5 lakhs in Kupwara, Stating therein that the recovery was made after strenuous efforts by the technical team of Kupwara Police following several complaints received over time regarding missing mobile phones.
In a statement issued from Zonal Police Headquarters Srinagar Police said that the recovered mobile phones were handed over to their rightful owners today at the District Police Office Kupwara. According to the Police statement the recipients expressed their gratitude and appreciated the relentless efforts of the District Police in ensuring the recovery of their belongings.
In the concluding para of its above quoted statement police reiterated its commitment to address complaints for maintaining safety and security in the region.
