Baramulla: Farooq Ahmad Shah, MLA Gulmarg, held an introductory meeting with sub-district officers at Townhall Tangmarg to discuss improvements in public service delivery. Officials from various departments provided updates on ongoing projects and outlined challenges.
Addressing the meeting Shah directed quick resolution of public grievances to ensure seamless services for citizens. He expressed his commitment to working closely with officials to implement transformative initiatives that will advance the development of Sub-District Gulmarg. Earlier, Shah inspected Tangmarg Hospital, reviewed healthcare services and interacted with patients. He directed the hospital staff to prioritize patient-centered care and ensure essential services such as medicines, heating, and lighting are provided efficiently. He emphasized the need for duty rosters to be clearly displayed and warned against any negligence. The MLA Gulmarg also announced a week-long cleanliness drive across the constituency from 21st of October, including the renowned tourist destination Gulmarg, with a pledge to personally oversee the effort. Shah also revealed plans to establish Dairy and Sheep Farms under CSR initiatives, aiming to educate the people that such units can provide opportunities to the unemployed to become financially independent.
