Chief Minister should declare J&K’s capital as Darbar Move no longer exists: Er Rashid

Srinagar, Oct 18: The Member of Parliament (MP) from north Kashmir and AIP chief Sheikh Rashid Friday said, the J&K Chief Minister Omar Abdullah is hand in glove with the BJP.

He termed the cabinet resolution demanding J-K’s statehood as ‘contrary to what NC has been claiming from day one.’

“NC promised a fight against the abrogation of Article 370 and other related things, but the fact is Omar is deviating from the main issues by focusing on Statehood restoration only,” he said.

The MP, also known as Engineer Rashid said, the restoration of statehood to J&K was promised by Prime Minister and the Home Minister, hence exaggerating the issue is equal to betrayal, news agency KNO reported.

He said, Omar is following his grandfather and JKNC founder Sheikh Abdullah, who he said also betrayed the people of J&K,

Rashid also asked the Omar-led government to come clear on what would be the capital for his government since the traditional practice of Darbar Move has ended in Jammu and Kashmir.
