Srinagar: In a major relief for Awami Itehad Party (AIP), the interim bail of Er Rashid, the Member Parliament North Kashmir Lok Sabha seat was on Tuesday extended up to October 28.
Confirming the extension in the interim bail of MP Sheik Ab Rashid a spokesman of AIO said that the interim bail of Er Rashid has been extended up to October 28 by the Patiala House Court, New Delhi. “We hope to see Er Rashid out on permanent bail soon,” he said.
MP Rashid was released on September 11 after serving five and a half years imprisonment in New Delhi’s Tihar Jail. He was arrested in connection with a terror-funding case. He was granted bail till Oct 4 initially and that was simultaneously extended up to October 15. “Today, we feel relieved that Er Rashid’s bail has been extended till October 28,” said the AIP spokesman.
