Udhampur : Deputy Commissioner Udhampur, Saloni Rai, convened a District Level Committee meeting of NCORD here at Mini Conference Hall, DC Office Complex, Udhampur.
The meeting was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner Prem Singh, Additional SP Sandeep Bhat, Chief Medical Officer Dr. Anil Manhas and other district officers from various line departments.
During the meeting, the DC directed the concerned departments to intensify their outreach efforts to aid in the recovery of drug-affected individuals. She emphasized the need to upscale counseling, awareness across the district.
The DC called for a strict enforcement drive to seize drugs and prevent youth, especially students, from falling prey to drug abuse. She further directed the concerned to ensure a 100% computerized billing system in pharmacies.
The DC took review of installation of feedback boxes in educational institutions and emphasized the need for regular awareness sessions to educate students about the ill effects of drugs.
