Handwara, : Joint Forces averted a mishap in North Kashmir’s Handwara after detecting and defusing a suspicious object near ThokerPora on the Baramulla-Handwara Highway.
An official told the news agency Kashmir News Trust that the object, attached to a bag, raised concerns, prompting the deployment of a Bomb Disposal Squad. To ensure public safety, the squad conducted a controlled explosion.
“The nature of the suspicious object is currently under investigation,” the official said, adding that traffic on the highway was temporarily suspended as a precautionary measure and later resumed.
