“For formation of new Government the major political parties also have to follow certain practices and procedures after the announcement of election results and as such people need not to be desperate in seeing the process of  Government formation completing in short time.”

People are more desperate over Government formation than they were over the announcement of election results for all wrong reasons. For the completion of democratic process both the Government and as well as the Election Commission have to follow certain practices and procedures for the conduct of elections from polling to announcement of results. Similarly for formation of new Government the major political parties also have to follow certain practices and procedures after the announcement of election results and as such people need not to be desperate in seeing the process of  Government formation completing in short time. Under any circumstances the process of Government formation can’t be completed just in a day or two after the announcement of election results as it takes even weeks for both the Government and as well as political parties to complete the process of Government formation in any state or union territory of the country or even at the centre. As per the democratic conventions the major political parties have to call a meeting of the newly elected legislators to elect the leader after which the alliance of two or more than two parties has to hold a joint meeting to elect the leader of the alliance if need be and this depend on the nos the major political party has in the assembly or parliament as the case may be. Presently the process of Government formation has just begun but journalists have started asking the leaders of National Conference the single largest party in the new assembly to disclose the name of the Chief Minister much before the meeting of the new elected legislators’.

“When the senior most leader of the grand old party National Conference Farooq Abdullah has shown his desperateness by naming his son Omar Abdullah for the Chief Minister’s post even before the meeting of the newly elected legislators of his party to be held just today, the journalists and as well as the people can’t be blamed for showing desperateness over the naming of new Chief Minister but better if they show patience and not desperateness in knowing the name of new Chief Minister.”

Unfortunately none else than the senior most leader of Jammu & Kashmir and National Conference President Dr Farooq Abdullah is to be blamed for triggering this chaos over the Chief Minister’s position by announcing the name of his son Omar Abdullah for the top post before the meeting of the new elected legislators of his party and that of the NC-Congress alliance. Fortunately Omar Abdullah has himself done the much need course correction that candidature of the new Chief Minister would be cleared only at the meeting of newly elected legislators to be held just today. When the senior most leader of the grand old party National Conference Farooq Abdullah has shown his desperateness by naming his son Omar Abdullah for the Chief Minister’s post even before the meeting of the newly elected legislators of his party to be held just today, the journalists and as well as the people can’t be blamed for showing desperateness over the naming of new Chief Minister but better if they show patience and not desperateness in knowing the name of new Chief Minister.
