Pre- Vote Counting Political Chaos In J&K

“Till the announcement of official results any debate over the prospects of a hung assembly has only furthered the causes of political chaos but not the formation of a stable and strong popular Government in Jammu & Kashmir.”

Elections bring political stability but not the chaos which is being witnessed after the release of exit poll figures by pollsters on TV and U-Tube channels about the assembly elections in Jammu & Kashmir.  Unfortunately political chaos over Government formation amid assumptions and presumptions has started much before the counting of votes and announcement of official results today. Though desperateness has no place in politics but the exit polls which in the rarest of the rarest cases are found somewhere closer to official results after the counting have made both the political leaders and as well as the anchors on TV and U-Tube channel desperate enough to debate Government formation in the wake of a hung assembly.  Till the announcement of official results any debate over the prospects of a hung assembly has only furthered the causes of political chaos but not the formation of a stable and strong popular Government in Jammu & Kashmir. Though official results but not the exit poll predictions lay the foundation for Government formation in any state or union territory or  even at the central but ironically both the political parties and as well as the anchors of TV and U-Tube channels within and outside Jammu & Kashmir are desperate enough to debate Government formation on the exit poll predictions. Finally the official results would be hopefully announced today by the Election Commission of India and as per the practices and precedences the Election Commission would issue a final notification about the elections of successful legislators few days after the announcement of the results officially by the Returning Officers.

“Cries on on TV channels and social media sites on Government formation won’t change the nature of the mandate people will deliver for the new assembly in Jammu & Kashmir. Even after the announcement of the results, the deliberations over the Government formation won’t end in few hours but it will take several days for the political parties to clear the decks for Government formation as per the normal practice and precedence followed always both in the States and UTs and as well as  at the Centre.”

It has been a routine practices that till a final notification about the elections of successful legislators is issued by the Election Commission Of India the political parties can discuss Government formation on the basis of the official results announced by the returning officers. Now it is matter of few hours and wisdom demands that both the political leaders and as well as the anchors of TV and U-Tube channels stop crying over Government formation on TV channels and social media sites. Cries on on TV channels and social media sites on Government formation won’t change the nature of the mandate people will deliver for the new assembly in Jammu & Kashmir. Even after the announcement of the results, the deliberations over the Government formation won’t end in few hours but it will take several days for the political parties to clear the decks for Government formation as per the normal practice and precedence followed always both in the States and UTs and as well as  at the Centre.
