Jammu: A missing woman, whose identity has been withheld for privacy, was successfully located by the Jammu Police on October 4, 2024, following an extensive search operation initiated after her husband reported her missing on August 9.
As per police, the husband approached Police Post Talab Tillo, filing a written application regarding his wife’s disappearance. In response, authorities logged the incident as a missing person case under Daily Dairy Report No. 18. “A dedicated team was formed, led by the Incharge of Police Post Talab Tillo, to track down the missing woman. The team utilized both human resources and technical intelligence, disseminating alerts to all local police stations for assistance in the search,” police said.
According to a police statement, “On October 4, the collaborative efforts of the Incharge of Talab Tillo and the Station House Officer of Nowabad, under the supervision of the Deputy Superintendent of Police, culminated in the successful recovery of the woman from Dorangala, Gurdaspur, Punjab.” “Following the completion of legal formalities, the woman was reunited with her husband. The prompt action taken by the Talab Tillo team has been praised by her family and local residents,” reads the statement.
