Counting day preparations in Kulgam, Shopian

DEO Shopian inspects Counting Centres, reviewing preparedness for counting

Shopian: The District Election Officer (DEO), Mohammad Shahid Saleem Dar and Senior Superintendent of Police, Anayat Ali on Firday made a joint visit to Counting Centres at Mini Secretariat Shopian in order to review the arrangements for counting of votes, scheduled on October 8 for Shopian and Zainapora Assembly Constituencies (ACs) of the district.
During the inspection, the DEO reviewed all facilities being put in place at the Counting Centres, including seating arrangements, establishment of media centres, help desks and other facilities for hassle free counting process.
The DEO along with SSP also took stock of security protocol in place along with welfare measures for staff, agents of political parties and media persons.
Among others, the DEO was accompanied by ADC, Zakir Hussain Faaz; RO Shopian, Shakoor Ahmad; Dy.DEO, Jahanger Ahmad; DIO, Showkat Hussain; Dy.SP, Javed Ahmad and other officers and officials.

DEO Kulgam reviews Arrangements at Counting Centres for Smooth Counting process
Kulgam: In preparation for the upcoming counting of votes scheduled on October 8, the District Election Officer (DEO) Kulgam, Athar Aamir Khan along with SSP Kulgam, Sahil Sarangal on Friday conducted a comprehensive inspection of the Counting Centre established at Government Degree College Kulgam.
During the visit, the DEO reviewed all necessary arrangements to ensure smooth conduct of the counting process.
This arrangements inspected included seating arrangements for staff and stakeholders, as well as other essential facilities.
In addition, the DEO closely examined the physical infrastructure put in place, such as barricading for a hassle-free process, provisions for IT and communication systems, and security measures.
The DEO emphasized strict adherence to Election Commission guidelines and directed continuous monitoring of the arrangements to ensure transparency and efficiency. Accompanying the DEO were ROs, Dy-DEO and other officers.
