Illegal Recruiters On Social Media Sites

“Frauds the modus operandi of illegal recruitment agencies has though caught the attention of the Cyber Crime Wing Of Jammu & Kashmir but job seekers themselves have to remain more cautious in responding to the job offers of the illegal recruitment agencies on social media sites.”

In a scenario of joblessness the illegal recruitment agencies exploit and cheat job seekers again and again and more so due to misuse of social media sites. Interestingly the illegal recruitment agencies are as active in Jammu & Kashmir as they are active in other parts of the country. Since job seekers are becoming more and more vulnerable to online frauds of illegal recruitment agencies month after month and year after year in Jammu & Kashmir like other parts of the country, the cyber crime investigation has attracted special attention of the Cyber Crime Branch Of Jammu & Kashmir Police. Not only fake recruitment  scams but illegal bank transaction scams are also busted more frequently than ever before by the Cyber Crime Wing of the Jammu & Kashmir Police both in Kashmir Valley and as well as Jammu division.  In this scenario of rapid expansion of online frauds the modus operandi of illegal recruitment agencies has though caught the attention of the Cyber Crime Wing Of Jammu & Kashmir but job seekers themselves have to remain more cautious in responding to the job offers of the illegal recruitment agencies on social media sites.  Experiences of the recent years show that job-seekers offered ‘lucrative’ jobs are easily lured by the illegal recruitment agencies but they come across difficulties soon after reaching their work places. On finding huge contradiction between the offers and the actual job packages delivered to them for contractual assignments on foreign soils they don’t find themselves in a position to even deny the job packages before completing one year job agreement.  Ironically some job seekers get meager salaries insufficient for them to have even two time meals a day. Unfortunately the alerts of the Cyber Crime Wing of the Jammu & Kashmir Police are not taken seriously by the job seekers due to which they fall victim to the online fake job offers of illegal recruitment agencies.

“As illegal recruiters are fast developing the bad trend of duping gullible job seekers on social media sites, the cyber crime investigation against the recruitment activities of illegal recruitment agencies deserves and demands immediate attention and intervention of the cyber crime wing of the Jammu & Kashmir Police. “

Surprisingly even the job seekers having completed the post doctoral research degrees from reputed universities are easily duped by the illegal recruitment agencies on the social media sites.  Undoubtedly the the cyber crime wing of the Jammu & Kashmir Police has been putting in its best to reduce the increasing vulnerability of the job seekers to the online job offers of the illegal recruitment agencies but still job seekers including research scholars are falling victim to the fake job offers of the illegal recruitment agencies on social media sites. The desperation of jobless youth to take up jobs in developing countries through illegal recruitment agencies is a bad trend which heads to no dead end. As illegal recruiters are fast developing the bad trend of duping gullible job seekers on social media sites, the cyber crime investigation against the recruitment activities of illegal recruitment agencies deserves and demands immediate attention and intervention of the cyber crime wing of the Jammu & Kashmir Police.
