Jammu: In preparation for the upcoming Navratras festival, commencing on October 3, Jammu Police organized an interactive awareness session with stakeholders of the Bagh-e-Bahu Mandir complex. The meeting, chaired by SP South Jammu Ajay Sharma, aimed to strengthen security measures for the anticipated large influx of devotees.
According to a statement issued from District Police Headquarters Jammu the attendees included SDPO East S. Shezan Bhat, SHO Bage-e-Bahu Insp. Vijay Verma, and representatives from various organizations and unions. Discussions focused on the prevailing security scenario, roles, and responsibilities in ensuring a safe and smooth festival experience. SP City South, along with SDPO City East Jammu and SHO Bage-e-Bahu, toured the temple market and surrounding areas, interacting with stakeholders to raise awareness about citizen, shopkeeper, and volunteer responsibilities. They urged the public to report suspicious activities and emphasized the importance of collaboration with Jammu Police. To enhance security, SP South appealed shopkeepers to install additional CCTV cameras and increase DVR storage capacity. The police team also reviewed security at PP Mandir Bahufort, briefing deployed personnel to remain vigilant and responsive to emergencies. In the concluding para of its above quoted statement Police said that people and stakeholders compliment Jammu Police fors its proactive outreach pledging full cooperation during Navratras and beyond.
