Jammu: Union Minister and J&K Election in-charge, G. Kishan Reddy on Sunday said that this is the historic time when Jammu will take the lead and decide the next government in J&K.

He said that for the first time, the BJP is poised to form a government in Jammu and Kashmir, and the people of Jammu now have the power to decide their destiny, said Reddy addressing a press conference here.

BJP working President Sat Sharma, National Spokesperson R.P. Singh, Spokesperson and Media center in-charge Arun Gupta, Spokesperson Girdhari Lal Raina, and Media head Dr. Pradeep Mahotra were also present at the press conference.

Reddy said due to the Modi government’s “zero tolerance” policy, terror incidents have decreased by 98 percent, and now Jammu and Kashmir is on the path of development and prosperity.

Reddy said that Congress, National Conference, and the PDP are fooling the people.

“These parties are responsible for terrorism and bloodshed in J&K,” Reddy said, adding, “Terrorism was the biggest speed breaker in the way of development”.

He described the abrogation of Article 370 as the foundation for Jammu and Kashmir’s development and said that prosperity reigns in Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s new Jammu and Kashmir.

Reddy appealed to the people of Jammu to vote for the BJP’s symbol, the “Lotus,” in the upcoming elections so that a majority BJP government can be formed to make Jammu and Kashmir a developed and self-reliant state.

Continuing his address, G. Kishan Reddy said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, an atmosphere of security and peace has been established in Jammu and Kashmir.

He said that to eliminate terrorism, stone-pelting, and separatist politics, the Modi government has taken strict measures, leading to a wave of development in Jammu and Kashmir today.

He emphasized that the instability in Jammu and Kashmir so far has been caused by parties like the Congress, National Conference, and PDP, which have betrayed the people for their familial interests.

He noted that there is now an environment in Jammu and Kashmir where the youth are excited about their future.

Instead of picking up stones, children are now picking up laptops and books. He said that Jammu and Kashmir is being developed as an economic power to compete with the Middle East and other states.

He also revealed that within the next two years, Jammu and Kashmir will meet all its electricity needs on its own, and by selling surplus power, it will achieve economic strength.

Reddy also said that the central government has empowered financial authority at the Panchayat level in Jammu and Kashmir, and now Panchayats are receiving direct financial aid from the center, promoting village-level development.

He said the BJP is the only party working for all regions and communities of Jammu and Kashmir.

He urged the people to vote for the BJP in the upcoming elections to continue the journey of development and peace in the state.
