Have never got such excited, says first-time voter in Zadibal AC

Srinagar : At 22 years of age, Iqbal Ahmad was one among the first time and young voters in Zadibal constituency, who was quite jubilant and enthusiastic towards voting with high hopes.
Wearing a blue T-shirt, Iqbal came out of the polling booth 58-A in Moti Mohalla Mir Behri Bud Dal, with red cheeks and a smile on his face, referring to his friend outside, saying ‘Meha Trov Vote’and laughs. “I cast my vote.” Iqbal said that he is casting vote for the first time in the Assembly Elections with high hopes.’
“I am not here to favour any party but my vote was in favor of quality education and respect and dignity. It is imperative to have a quality education here and simultaneously the dignity and respect for the people here,” he said.
Iqbal said that he was quite happy since morning as it was for the first time; he was heading towards exercising his right towards electing a representative with a motive of ensuring the quality education. “I have never gotten so excited,” he said after coming out of the polling booth.
“We have lost everything here including the dignity and rights and casting ballots is the only way to bring a change on the ground by electing the local representatives, who are aware about the day-to-day challenges of the common masses here,” Iqbal said, adding that these are the main issues, which prompt him to vote today.
Pertinently, Zadibal is one among the eight constituencies that went to polls today in the second phase of the three-phased assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir. The counting of votes will be held on October 08
