Samba : BJP Pradesh Vice President Surjeet Singh Slathia on Tuesday lashed out at the Congress and National Conference for creating roadblocks in Jammu and Kashmir’s journey towards peace and development because of their proximity to soft separatist agenda over the years.
However, he said , the BJP led NDA government has reversed the Cong-NC agenda by taking path breaking initiatives, especially post abrogation of Article 370 that transformed Jammu and Kashmir, making the region tourism hub from terrorism hotbed.
Mr Surjeet Singh Slathia, who is the BJP candidate for Samba Assembly Constituency, was addressing public meetings at Kamila, Jalapur,Patyari,Surara, Rediyan,Ward No 11,Pakki Mandi in Samba.
He castigated the Congress for working against the larger interests of Jammu and Kashmir.
He slammed the two alliance partners for furthering the Pakistan agenda, which is why a Federal Minister of the rogue nation in the neighbourhood is all praise for the Congress and the National Conference. He cautioned the people against machinations of these two parties that want to push Jammu and Kashmir in the dark tunnel of uncertainty, destruction and devastation.
He also referred to the major initiatives undertaken by Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s government in Jammu and Kashmir that have brought a discernible change during the past over five years which has become an eyesore for the Congress and NC that believe in boiling Kashmir and politics of graveyards. On the contrary, he said the BJP’s commitment to inclusive governance as per Prime Minister’s Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas, Sabka Prayas has fostered a sense of belonging with renewed spirit of confidence among people in this part of the country . So much so that the political entities believing in separatism have also now realized the futility of their misadventure and shown intent to join the mainstream.
“This is a huge shift in the political landscape, all because of the firm leadership at the Centre and unflinching support of the people of Jammu and Kashmir to the initiatives for bringing lasting peace in once trouble torn state”, Mr Slathia said, adding that the people are for the first time having a feel of being at the centre stage of various schemes aimed at ameliorating their lot.
He exuded confidence about people coming out of their homes in record numbers on the day of polling to cast their votes for the BJP. “Your every vote will be support for taking forward the mission of Yashasvi Narendra Modiji to make peaceful and prosperous Naya Jammu and Kashmir.
Besides, the prominent among those who present in rallies included Mandal President Balwinder Singh Naresh Upadhaya DDC Suresh Sharma Balwan Singh
Sarpanch Mukhtayar Singh Suraj Parkash Verma Pritam Singh Baldev Singh Jasbir Singh.
